Each year new families are inspired by the mission and vision of Woodbury Leadership Academy! WLA continues to grow and to meet our increasing needs, we are currently looking to fill open positions with highly qualified and dedicated individuals.
Woodbury Leadership Academy utilizes leadership based programs and strategies grounded in solid research, combined with the demonstrated success of Core Knowledge curriculum as the basis of a rigorous program that builds strong skills in math, reading, literature, writing, music, science and technology. WLA is a school where students and graduates become exceptional leaders, and are prepared to take on the academic and leadership challenges they will face as they transition into high school.
Our staff is highly collaborative with a robust professional learning community and established behavior and academic intervention teams. WLA is a student-uniform school; our students are kind, respectful and responsible as well as motivated to succeed. New staff receive orientation and training prior to starting along with a variety of support throughout the year; this has helped create one of the best instructional teams in the state.

Licensed Teaching Positions - Woodbury Leadership Academy is looking for amazing teacher leaders to join our team! WLA teachers lead by example while implementing the Core Knowledge curriculum in order to create a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential. The ideal candidate has both content area and pedagogical expertise Teachers and is motivated to promote high student achievement while maintaining relationships and a positive classroom culture. Teachers must have a valid MN teaching license or be in the process of obtaining their licensure.

Paraprofessional Positions - Paraprofessional at WLA play a key role in providing direct support to students and are important members of the instructional team. Paraprofessionals assist classroom and special education teachers by working with students individually in the small groups to support the specific student needs described in their individualized learning plan. Paraprofessionals may re-teach concepts learned in class, support students in taking notes or staying focused during instruction, supervise students during lunch, recess and other passing times, redirect students, report and respond to disciplinary concerns. The ideal candidate is patient and has a passion for working with young people.
